MÉTODO · NOTES TO THE STATEMENT

NOTE 1 — NORMALISATION

Every commitment is stated as a monthly figure, whatever its billing cycle. The conversions are these, and no others:

WEEKLY× 52 ÷ 12
EVERY 4 WEEKS× 13 ÷ 12
QUARTERLY÷ 3
YEARLY÷ 12

Displayed figures are rounded to two decimal places. Internally, full precision is kept, and every total is computed from the unrounded values. The annual exposure is the monthly commitment multiplied by twelve; the five-year projection is the annual exposure multiplied by five, at current rates, assuming nothing changes. Something usually changes.

NOTE 2 — THE ADVISORY MARK

A small bronze dot appears beside any entry that is the second or later in its category, with a footnote naming the category. The mark states a fact of the ledger. It does not warn, it does not colour itself red, and it does not calculate what you could save. The reader concludes.

NOTE 3 — REFERENCE PRICES

Preset services carry a reference price: the U.S. list price at the stated review date, presently August 2026. A reference price is a suggestion, set in secondary ink until you confirm or correct it. Prices in this market changed four times in eight months; if the review date falls more than six months behind, the stamp says so, visibly. Always enter the amount you are actually billed.

NOTE 4 — WHAT IS STORED

The ledger is computed entirely in your browser and kept in your browser's local storage, automatically. Nothing is transmitted anywhere. There is no server to receive it, no analytics to observe it, and no account to attach it to. Clearing your browser's site data closes the ledger permanently; the print statement is the durable copy.

NOTE 5 — WHY THERE ARE NO ACCOUNTS

An account is a subscription to a ledger of subscriptions. We declined the recursion. A statement of your commitments should not itself be a commitment.
